In the field of electrode press and release technology, an electrode press and release measuring device comprises: a clamping device, a displacement sensor, a driving device and a controller, the clamping device is used to be clamped to the outer side of the electrode, the clamping device is capable of following the electrode to move from a first position to a second position, and the clamping device is movable with respect to the electrode in the direction opposite to the press and release direction, wherein the first position is located on the side of the second position away from the material, the displacement sensor is used to measuring a displacement amount of the clamping device to measure a displacement amount of the electrode along the press-and-release direction, and the controller is used to control the driving device to drive the clamping device relative to the electrode to move to the first position when the clamping device is located in the second position, and to control the driving device to reset the driving device after the clamping device is moved to the first position. As a result, the resetting of the measuring point position and the continuous measurement of the amount of electrode press and release are realized, with a high level of automation, while the accuracy of the measurement is improved.
